About Jake & Devan
Our Story
Most people say love at first sight is nothing more than a fairytale, only something sweet in movies but rare in real life. Jake and Devan might have agreed with that once, but the moment they met, something undeniable sparked between them.
In a city where genuine connections can be hard to come by, fate brought them together in the most modern (and ironically least romantic) way… online. And while you might imagine a slow buildup of texting or carefully planned first dates, their story began a little differently: Jake randomly FaceTimed Devan at 1 a.m. while she was on night shift at work. There she sat in her car, wearing a neon reflective vest, eating a kids meal from Cane’s, while Jake was at a loud house full of friends. Yet somehow, in the middle of the chaos, their effortless connection was unmistakable. Within minutes, Jake said, “I’m going to marry you one day,” and all Devan could do was smile because deep down, she already knew something extraordinary had begun.
Parents always warn their kids not to talk to strangers let alone give out personal information, but the very next day Devan found herself having Jake come pick her up so they could see if their spark was just as real in person. It was, and even stronger. From that day forward, they were inseparable. Some may say they moved quickly, but to them it felt impossible to move slowly when it was so clear they had found something once in a lifetime.
As their relationship grew, Jake introduced Devan to his son, Oliver, who soon became their son, completing their little family. Together, they discovered a love filled with endless inside jokes, laughing until they cry, spontaneous adventures, and the kind of comfort that brings out their quirkiest, most authentic selves. They make even the simplest days feel special and always find a way to turn ordinary moments into the best memories.
Neither Jake nor Devan expected to fall in love this deeply or this fast, let alone begin building a family together. But that’s the beauty of life: unpredictable, challenging, and endlessly rewarding. They’ve grown through highs and lows, lifted each other through every season, and dreamed about a future they’re now ready to create hand in hand.
They are deeply grateful for the unwavering love and support of their friends and family each of whom has played a meaningful role in their journey. They wouldn’t be who they are or where they are at today without that love and support.
Jake and Devan look forward with full hearts, ready to continue adventuring, laughing, growing, and loving each other for the rest of their lives.

Our wedding will take place on October 3rd, 2026, at 4:30pm on the beautiful Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona. The ceremony will be held outdoors, with the cocktail hour and reception to follow indoors with open windows overlooking the grounds.

For our out-of-town guests, we recommend the Marriott Phoenix Chandler or the Holiday Inn Phoenix Chandler, both conveniently located just minutes away from our venue. If you prefer a different option, there are several other hotels nearby as well. Please use the booking links provided to book your room.

For Women:
Elegant dresses paired with heels or stylish cowgirl boots are perfectly fitting for the occasion.
For Men:
A sharp button-down shirt with slacks or well-kept jeans, complemented by dress shoes, boots, and a suit jacket is encouraged.
*We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing any shade of green or champagne, as it is reserved for our family and wedding party.
